Preliminary LV cable section selection from IEC 60364-5-52:2009 Annex B tables. The built-in example pins Annex E.52.2: 39 A with a four-core PVC copper cable clipped to a wall selects 6 mm2; with harmonic derating 39 / 0.86 selects 10 mm2.

Every length of the run whose conditions differ is a section with its own tab. IEC 60364-5-52:2009, 523.8 sizes the conductor for the most adverse of them — block 6 says which.
